Hi again. Seems like everything I touch needs work.

My brake pedal doesn’t come all the way up after use. I have a new return spring but haven’t figured out how to get it on. Need to know the secret of getting the old one out first.

I’ve tried using channel locks and made up hooks from a coat hanger but can’t get the spring to clear the wire hook on the end. I’m really worried about getting the new one on if it is stronger than the old one.

Sure could use some sage advice.

Have you tried a block and tackle? or a come-along? wink

I don't recall having issues getting mine off. I assume you're talking about the one that goes to the bracket on the frame just below the steering column.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.

That’s the one Kevin. Can’t seem to get a good grip on it to undo it.

I use vice grips, and muster up the strength of ten Grinches plus one to get it on. You may need more or less Grinches than I do, but it does take several.

I was looking for an older post and ran across yours. I assume you got it fixed? My 2 cents worth. My pedal would stick about an inch before it was up completely. With the motor out I decided to deal with it. I bought new springs for the clutch & brake. The brake pedal shaft was sticking (wedging) in the hole. When I loosened the large bolt the pedal loosened up. I readjusted it & tightened it in position & all is fine. By the way my springs are not hard to stretch .

Peddle looks like bushings worn to be making its own hole through the cab.Could also be cab mounts .Mine would rub until I fixed bushings.
