Need to know type of truck/chassis and engine/trans to be placed in truck? Weight dist/steering and handling will be effected by placement. Also firewall/steering box & tie rod clearance needs to be considered. Radiator support and and frame clearance usually not a problem. Can purchase aftermarket "universal" front/rear mounts from several suppliers on links page on this site. Need more specifics? :confused:

Havent decided on the tubular crossmember mount or what type on the engine. Plan on 350 small block and 700R4. Thanks Again!

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 2 Member | | Member Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 2 | I wouldn't worry about the effects of handling by moving your engine and trans a few inches one way or another. Having a 150 lb. driver alone in a vehicle will effect weight distribution more than moving your engine. I would worry about all of the issues mentioned and the driveshaft alignment. If you don't move the trans mount and engine mount the same distance left or right you may have u-joint problems.
