As mentioned in my earlier post tonight, after George "Wrenchbender Ret." and I finished up our "Mini-Meet" lunch yesterday, I had an urge to go check out some local antique shops.

I have recently had some good luck finding several Stovebolt related publications, so decided to go on the hunt again to see what could be found.

As luck would have it, I located three "new to me" Stovebolt related publications that I was able to snag and bring home for a small amount of cash.

Pics of the covers of the finds are attached below. Here are "blurbs" about what is in each:

United Motors Service Bulletin 2 B-40 Date 9-15-50: 1934-1950 Ball and Roller Bearing Data (A detailed catalog by make/model/year including Chevrolet and GMC trucks of ALL sizes that lists the Bearings by purpose, component, and manufacturer part numbers for the 4 major bearing brands of the time. It also includes a "Conversion" listing that includes the original GM part numbers and cross referenced manufacturer part numbers.)

Delco-Remy Bulletin 1 A-110 thru 1 A-122 Date 3-1-52: Popular Parts Application Data (See the right side of cover picture for list of catalog contents - it's long and detailed.)

1954 AEA Original Equipment Distributor Generator Starting Motor Fast Moving Parts Catalog (Catalog listing including 1937-1954 Chevrolet and GMC trucks ignition parts, generators, starters (and repair parts for both), generator regulators, plus common stop lamp switches, horns, relays that use original GM part numbers. Also includes pictures and vehicle application lists for the majority of the parts in the catalog.)

All that being said, I'm posting this information just so that should any fellow Bolter need help identifying parts for their trucks that fall into these categories, these have been added to my "unofficial Stovebolt Library" for use in trying to help out anyone I can.

Have a good one everyone! thumbs_up

See below for another new 2024 addition to my Stovebolt Library. Expanding into GMC Big Bolt information. wink

Anyone with a 1961 GMC Big Bolt within the covered model range is welcome to contact me for help with questions and info sharing. I will gladly take pics and post or share with anyone needing shop manual info from the book. thumbs_up
