What is the best brand handheld tubing bender for bending brake and fuel lines? A single tool that can bend lines of different diameters is a plus and would also prefer something USA made (if possible). Thanks.

Rigid 456. Does 3/16, 1/4, 5/16. I think they are still made in US.

Just a note that this conversation has been moved to the Tool Chest forum as it best fits there.

Others may yet chime in to provide their knowledge and experience. smile

For several decades, I've thought that the only tubing bender worth having is Imperial Eastman. The less expensive ones can't make tight radius bends, which makes any pipe job look more professional. Imperial can make consistent, repeatable tight bends without collapsing the tube in the process.

I've used this bender for over 40 years and it's served me well...made by KD Tools, don't know where it's made these days.

The Rigid that Stan shared seems to be the standard fair, whether you find it at Harbor Freight or on a tool truck. I have one that I believe I found on a Cornwell truck, that has similar diameters to the tool that Jerry shared. Super tight radiuses. Really make for a nice job.

Add a tubing straightener, buy tubing by the roll, and you can plumb from the rear axle all the way to the master without even thinking about buying a union!!
