Happy day there folks. I read that it's not all of Canada that celebrates Thanksgiving on this day.

Any celebrations involving your truck? big_eek

Of course: any pictures?

Hello Peggy, Evidently it isn't celebrated on the east coast and in Quebec it isn't a big deal. Those who celebrate it, do it as a celebration of the harvest. We don't have parades and people don't tend to travel too far to visit family. I did cook a turkey on the Weber yesterday! There aren't any Thanksgiving Day sales to speak of, but I noticed last week that Christmas has arrived for the retailers. Oh, brother!

Oh wow. That's very different than ours.

Do you all have a Black Friday?

😄

No celebrations planned involving the truck as the weather at this time of year is unpredictable. I did take it out for a run yesterday - we had a warm sunny day, so I took advantage of it. It rained today and we are thankful as we are coming out of drought.

Christmas is the big holiday here. We have statutory holidays within one week. (Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day) Boxing Day sales are traditional. However, the retailers have now picked up the US Black Friday sales here. Any reason to have a sale, I suppose.

"Picked up on Black Friday" ... Oh dear. Do you know what that was like when this first started in US???? Now, "Black Friday" is any chance, as you say, "to have a sale." Those sales were really impressive. in the beginning. Hambone's wife got copy/printer paper for 1 cent a ream!! Lots of people waited in line, long lines, waiting for certain stores to open. It became a real event; almost like a party.

Then ... maybe even just the next year ... Black Friday went on-line! Not the same any more.
