I think Dan is spot on.

It’s showing a wear groove near the outer end where the throttle crank rides. You might consider welding that and resurfacing.

GMC calls it an "Accelerator control lever stud", part number is 838420. It was used on Chevy cars and trucks from the 30s into at least the 50s. GMC used it from 39 to at least 1960. Part number is 838420.

Chevs of the 40s has them listed under the same part number.

Your looks a lot better than mine did.

That one is a lot different than the one weewilly posted.

I guess the lever is held in place with jam nuts instead of an E clip.

A cool trick for the throttle crank which goes on that stud is to find a thin-walled piece of pipe which fits on that stud, and drill the holes in the throttle crank for the pipe to fit in and weld the ends of the pipe ot the throttle bracket holes.
This gives you a much larger bearing surface for the throttle bracket to ride on the stud, resulting in smoother operation, as well as not having to worry about the grooves that are currently in that stud. Should last for 3,000,000 miles.

The KISS principle applies here- - - -a plain old hex bolt and a jam nut will solve the problem of the worn stud, and there are a few hundred of them available at the corner hardware store.

I'm thinking forget the throttle linkage doohicky ... That's the first time I've ever seen the turn indicator mounted there. Probably a very effective and noticeable place ...

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
