I thought I was cured but it appears my '46 (see signature line for story in the Gallery) was not the last project. I bought a 3/4-ton 1951 truck (Kit wink ) a couple of years back. Its been sitting in the barn and has more in new parts than what the seller wanted for the truck.

The other day I was on Facebook Marketplace and a person was selling incomplete 3/4-ton 1952 and a 1/2-ton 1950, both 5-windows. (I should mention I restored a 1953 back in the 80's. If it's still around. I welded in three Stwart Warner gauges into the dash where the radio was originally located.)

So my plan is to restore one of the 3/4-tons. The other one I may make a flat bed. At this point in time, I'm thinking about putting one of the bodies on a Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon frame and running gear. Just starting that research.

A 2004 extended cab is 125.9 inch wheel base the 3/4 ton is 125.25 inch wheel base.

Attached are pictures my trucks. I know I have many duplicate parts and will at some point see if anyone needs them. I intend to get started next year. I'm going to start by cleaning, painting and polishing all the misc. parts.

GW,

Welcome back after your temporary absence (looks like its been a couple years) from posting! shake

Looks like you never quite got cured of the "Stovebolt" bug - haha! It's not curable BTW! yahoo

Glad you have jumped back in and looking forward to seeing and hearing more about your new projects. I think you may be posting in a whole bunch of the various "Shop Area" forums, not to mention I am sure I will see you some time in the "Swap Meet".

See you amongst the forums! wink

Dan

PS - Maybe you would add the picture of your completed 1946 in your reply to new Bolter "Rosco's" Welcome Center post. I bet he would appreciate seeing your finished truck. thumbs_up
