I have two headlight assemblies. One someone has already done extensive restoration to, the other appears to be for parts. The parts one had bezels. The restored one did not.

But ....

They appear to be different. The bezels from the parts assembly won't work on the restored unit ... From the pictures, can anyone (Dean ... smile ) tell me years of either assembly? I'd like to get bezels to work with the restored bar and buckets but if that assembly is not for a '27, then I am not sure what to start asking for ...

I'll ask over on VCCA, too, I guess ... wink

Thanks,
John

I don't know how many configurations there are for the 1927 headlight parts, but I believe the trucks and cars used the same headlights.

The rounded rims on the bullet shaped buckets were unique to '27. 1926 had coffee can shaped cans and 1928 used the bullet cans, but had stepped (not rounded) rims.

Lurch has two different 1927 rims (one brass and one aluminum) and they each have slightly different clamps under the rims.

Posting your question on the VCCA's website might bring more info. Here's one interesting thread I found using their search engine: https://vccachat.org/ubbthreads.php/topics/377928/need-information-1927-chevy-truck.html

Maybe the original poster (Barb) has info on her headlights that would be useful.

Another person to contact is Gary Wallace (http://www.earlychevyparts.com/). He has a whole lot of used parts and is very knowledgeable about all of them.
