I know in the past some of you had discussed and were in possession of an anvil or 2. Question of the day is, would someone be in the mood to sell or just plane unload one? I have a young fella who will be at Winchester with us who is interested in getting his hands on one.

Shucks... I opened this thinking maybe we were going to shoot an anvil at Winchester. Seen 'em launched tree-top level. Shooting anvils dates back to Colonial times as something to do at the community barbeque when things get boring. Whoever made the anvil fall back closest to the launch spot was the winner... Pass the jug!

I still have several but will not be making the trip east this year.
Find a chunk of RR track and let him start with that. Good anvils bring top dollar these day.
If you can find one for under 5 bucks a pound, you better buy it!

Mike, did you see the anvils in the swap meet at Winchester? That vendor had a few railroad track anvils and a 100# 1893 Fisher that he was asking $850.00 for.

Yes we did Mike. Kalen saw them as soon as we got there on Thursday evening. Went up to the flea market on Friday morning first thing and he was able to buy one. Thank you
