Hey Everyone: I am new to Stovebolt and told to check in here. We recently purchased a 53 1 ton grain truck with dump. It runs great and will be a great farm truck. We are going to do some cosmetics on it and run in a few parades. It needs some TLC (tires etc.), and probably a new wiring harness (most lights don't work). It has a really cool single cylinder lift on the bed that works great. I'm sorry I did not know about the Townsend, TN get together. I'm about 30+ minutes from that and it would have been fun to connect. I'll post more as we work on it.

Glad to see you made it back here. Yes, too bad about missing the Townsend event. There will be others around the South. Watch for them here. Some times just a cruise in here; a get together there. Always a good time to meet up.

Got a chance to read a little about you and your truck in your Welcome Centre post.

Everyone will be happy to follow along with your build. Probably best place with be with thread started in the Tons o' Fun.

BTW - next post you'll be out of moderation!!

Chris, Welcome to the "BOLT" and Big Welcome to the "Southern Bolters ". I'm glad to see that you posted pictures of your Truck, we love pictures on this site. There seems to be an influx of big bolts going on at the moment. I recently acquired one myself. I see you have already checked in over on the Tons o' Fun forum as well. Lots of great folks with tons of knowledge

The Townsend Show is a big event for the AD crowd. We ĥad our 3rd Annual Jamboree there this past June. Next year's event is already in the works so please check in often.

We have several things going on this fall. Crusin' the Coast (Oct) and Daytona Turkey Run (Nov) are just a couple.

You have plenty of folks around you there in Tennessee. All are more than willing to lend a hand or join together -- so just ask.

Hope to see you around the Shop. thumbs_up
