I was browsing the chevy truck adds on craigslist today, and noticed this one: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/288212163.html
Says its a one ton dump, but it looks like it has a second axle that can drop down, like a trailing axle. Would this have come from the factory? Or is this custom? I also noticed its listed as a 64, but by the side emblem, it would be a 65.
Just curious

Oswalds65Chevy,

You must have good eyeballs..is there a second axle? I see what looks like a spare rim or something mounted on the frame, but all the rest is a black smudge.

Maybe it's the spare, I don't see a hub poking through the hole in the wheel.

Haha, I think it must be you with the good eyes, I never thought of it being a spare, but it sure does look like that.
And here I thought I had discovered a rare never seen before model of truck... haha

I think that's just a tire leaning against the frame.

I wish people would "prepare" their items for the picture. Making them more presentable would draw more buyers I would think. This guy makes this truck look like it's part of his junk collection,

Either my monitor at work is getting ready to croak, or Craigslist rebooted their picture server, because the strange tire is quite obvious now, but earlier, it and the entire rear axle were nothing more than a black blob.

I agree with Scott...it's incredible how some folks list stuff.
