Need to get me a replacement blower motor 12 volt for my 51 chevy truck fresh air heater. I bought the fan cage from truckshop in orange county. Need to put an order in to jim carter. Is the motor they sell a direct fit? What company sells the best motor to use on my heater? Not my heater but it's the same type of one I have.
I have moved your post to the Interiors forum as it's the best place for further discussion.
AM sure many folks will be along shortly to offer info on replacement motors for your "fresh air heater".
BTW - be sure and come back and note if you are looking for a 6V or 12V heater motor to get the best possible answers.

I bought a 12 volt motor for mine from Classic Industries. There was something different about the mounting, and required some minor modification. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it wasn't much of a problem. It has worked OK so far, but hasn't been used much.

I just (this spring) installed a fresh air heater system in my 49 and it came with a 6V motor that I replaced with a NAPA 12V - was over the counter even up in my remote neck of the literal woods:
NAPA M6478
Was an absolute direct replacement. Works great.

Does it look like this? Fresh air box from '51. The 12v replacement motor did come with motor studs that stuck out 2". I cut them off and rounded the studs to look like the old rivets, and shot black paint to blend. Repainted the housing. I can't remember where I got the motor. Jim might have been where, but a fresh air 12v replacement is what I looked for.

If you were rebuilding your heater and just needed to replace the motor I bet you could get it at any electrical supply house.. usually a lot cheaper..
