Hi all, I got the rear end of a 55-57 Apache truck with a dump bed. Grandpa cut the cab off long ago, and it served as a trailer for decades. A couple years ago, my dad rolled it over into a ditch, and it seems the old U bolts holding the axle to the springs didn't appreciate it.

I have been looking around online, but all the squared U bolts I find look a little... light for the job. Does anyone know where I can find some heavy duty bolts? New or used doesn't matter, as long as they are still sound. The axle is an 8 lug pattern full floating axle (dana perhaps)?

A spring shop can fab up some u-bolts for you in whatever size or configuration you need. I'll bet there's a shop capable of doing that near you.

Yep,

This is the brand that a lot of farm stores seem to stock. I’d suggest measuring the current bolts, finding your part number here, and going shopping (either online or in person)

They are US made and of seemingly good quality (from what I’ve seen at my farm store).
