I got a set of 8bolt 15X8 … the rear tires are getting fatties (cause I’m into that) The front however… anyone know the limit for how wide they can be without hitting anything during turns? 255s are likely too big I suspect
…unless i find a 8bolt 4x4 front axle and that thingy PTO for my tranny … and do that mod (with whatever brake setup that comes with it 🤷ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸)
Going much wider than stock will affect your turning radius because the stops barely prevent the tires from hitting the frame. You can address that somewhat by getting higher offset rims, but that will put more stress on the spindles.
The 3600 has wide enough fender flares that you can stick out pretty far before you scrub them.
Put big bolt front sheet metal on it, grill, bumper, hood, fenders, etc.- - - -it will look butt-ugly, but the tires won't rub the wider spaced fenders with the bigger wheel openings.. Avoid sharp turns at high speed, and increase your life insurance coverage in case a hairpin turn sneaks up on you. Jerry
