Is it that your shop can't fix it or that they won't fix it?
Any decent radiator shop can build and install a new core utilizing the old tanks. My local shop builds new cores all the time for copper/brass radiators. They were going to do one for me on a '66 Mustang for $300 but we found a new copper/brass unit for $200.
I'd look around for a better radiator shop if I thought the radiator could be re-cored properly.

I've been using their services for over 25 years. I have a co-worker who build drag cars who has built many a custom radiator and would be willing to show me. Just curious if anyone else had done it themselves and where they got their core from. | | |
