Bushings, and all the other components of the king pin assembly are also for the same years. You will find them quite often on e-bay. Try Chev's of the 40's and others. I think the later year trucks at least thru to early 1947 also used the same parts, this is a guess as I don't have a later parts book..

I picked up a reamer for the 1.5 ton on E-bay. I understand that the bushings are not used on a 1.5. The hole is taper reamed to fit the new pins, is this right?.......Thanks, Rick

Check out the king pin tech tips on this site. Do you have a shop manual for your truck? If not check out http://chevy.tocmp.com and see if Keith has one posted. I know he has the 29-54 Chevy Master Parts Catalog on-line. I think you will find the same king pins were used for 3/4 thru 1 1/2 ton for about 20 years. Good luck Edit: I looked on Keith's site and found the king pin pages. Look here and on the previous page for part numbers. Hope this helps.

The difference between the 1/2 ton and 1.5 ton is in the caster angle it is 1.75 degrees for the 1/2 ton and 2.75 for the 1.5 ton truck. There were kits with oversize reamers to replace bushings if the knuckles were worn. Trucks used a straight hole bushing reamer.

I guess I'll wait till I get into the front end to access the damage. In the mean time I did buy the king pin set from chevyb. Can't have to many stovebolt parts it seems, thats what 3B says anyway:)
