What thickness lining should it have? So I can send it back and tell the reliner. Thanks, Jim

Maybe they pulled the band to small/tight when the set the lining??? What year and size truck are you working on? Did you band get bonded or riveted? Post a picture or two... There are a lot of adjustments on those things. Have you backed out the adjustments?
George They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. I was told it was a trans out of a 1958 3/4 or 1 ton I’m replacing my 3 speed and installing Napco running gear from 55 gmc into my 57 3600 I’m reading that dodge used similar setup and the lining is 5/32 | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 | If your installing a divorced transfer case you don't want the parking brake on the transmission...it the transfer case gets bumped into neutral the truck will roll away. NAPCO transfer case has the band brake on the rear output shaft to prevent this issue or they used the rear wheel service brakes as the parking brake. Because of the lift, I had in-line tube match the longer one using my ends. I know where this truck has been it’s whole life, so I know it wasn’t altered. So you could always go that way. | | |
