This "Tech Tip" was submitted by Scott "bztguy" Voss back in 2014. It contains a colorized schematic for a 1949 Chevy truck and the second is the wiring diagram for the clusters behind the dash. Both follow the factory color coding.

In his own words :

"I would like to submit these two drawings for the electrical section. I colorized the wiring schematic for a '49 AD and added in turn signal wiring and blower motor wiring.

I tried my best to glean the info from manuals for the original color codes and keep it as accurate as possible. This diagram retains the generator and a stomp starter."

We thank Scott for his effort colorizing these schematics as I know it will help many fellow 'Bolters.

If you have any questions or comments about this tip, please feel free to post in the ELECTRICAL BAY. Thanks.
