I am trying to match the colors of this truck but no automotive paint store around me can help without paint codes. I assumed they could make a color to match but I guess not. Can anyone help me?
I am not particular on the brand of paint but want to go base/clear.

Just about any decent body shop can scan the fender or whatever and produce a near exact match.

We have a local paint supply shop that will scan a color and make any quantity. Even put it in a rattle can.

I apologize as I was not clear enough in my initial post. This is just a picture off the internet, I do not expect anyone can get it 100% correct but just looking to get close if anyone has any paint colors/codes they can send my way.

That photo does not look to me like a stock color for a Chevy AD truck that a code would be available for.
If it happens to be a stock color for any manufacturer or year, go to paintref.com Link and take your pick of whatever looks closest. Then take that code to your paint supplier and have him mix it up for you.

Or you could print the picture out and take it to the paint supplier and have them match it from the photo. Be advised that it may look totally different because of variations in colors on computer screens and printers.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes or Sherwin Williams, whatever and look for paint sample cards that look as close as possible. It doesn't matter if its house paint. An automotive paint shop can use the sample card as a reference.

ok thanks...just having a hard time finding an automotive paint supplier near me that will do a custom match off the photo so i assume they can't or won't do it off paint sample cards or anything else...may have to travel a ways to a bigger town. thanks again

Probably nobody will be able to match exactly from an online image (which is devilish difficult because your monitor and any other out there will never display that color the same), but I can get you close to that blue (or at least as it appears on my monitor):

red/green/blue scheme: Red 176, green 224 and blue 230. (or #b0e0e6)

You can see what I came up with here using an HTML color picker (your blue will be apx middle of the page and you can tweak using slightly different numbers):

There are other color pickers and there are other schemes (example the cyan/magenta/yellow/black scheme), but I find rgb is more universal and lacking anything like silver/luminescence/metalflake/etc it will usually be as close as you need to get. Good luck.

Find a custom rod shop and ask them who they buy their custom paint from. Go there and ask to look at some paint chip samples. They will have samples of every shade of light blue that you can imagine, as well as samples with pearl or metal flake in the samples.
That's how I picked the color for my '49. I still don't know what color it is, but everyone seems to like it.

If you send an e-mail address in a private message, I can send a scan of factory truck colors for 54. It doesn't look like that truck is really any one of those colors as far as I can tell though.
