I know you can lower the front of the truck with the torsion bar suspension. But, is it a good idea?

You can lower the front some but you also loose suspension travel.

My son talked me into it when he was driving it in high school back in the 90's. Lower profile tires etc. I changed it back when he got his own car. I bet I can get away with it if nothing happened back then. At least that I know of. I shudder to think. smile

ole green,

You might reach out to member "Justhorsenround"

I recall he just recently did just this lowering, along with getting the rear stance to match.

Check out a recent post of his as he touched on the subject and can probably offer some input.

I love the idea of just cranking it back up when you get ready.

I plan on bringing mine back up when I get new tires. Get it back up close to where it was originally, but maybe just a bit lower thumbs_up

Mine is pretty even front to back measuring at the rocker panel and bed between the wheels. A little higher in back if anything. But with the wheel openings the way they there is no apparent rake. Wouldn't do front without doing the back at same time. Too Starsky & Hutch for me.

I agree. No S&H ,all jacked up in the back look . A little rake is fine ,but I want it to ride and drive good thumbs_up
