Was out driving with my wife and she asked if I could install a grab handle in the cab for bumpy roads and such. Has anyone ever installed an 'Oh Jesus' handle in the cab of an AD truck? I have a '48 so was thinking of getting something low profile and mounting in the middle on the headliner divider. Thoughts?
Same deal here with the wifey, after searching bought a handle for a vw bug & mounted over glove box on the 46, thought it looked the most art deco? With the linear grooves. Removing glove box insert made install easy. Did file on the bases slightly to match dash curve, vw had more curve… Chuck

Don't try mounting a grab handle in the headliner divider. That's way too weak to support anything. First bump and the headliner would be down.

You might consider the door post (properly called “A pillar”?) That component is structurally solid and would give the passenger the opportunity to control the butt/truck seat interface.
