I installed another classic performance power steering box in my 1959
apache panel truck. There is some excessive play in the box . The play
does not extend to the pitman arm.
The play is not in the other box in my 1958.
Can this be adjusted out?
I sent the video to CP but not heard from them.
thanks!

Thats not good. You can adjust the lash to take the play out of that end, but if it is loose enough to turn that far it was either assembled wrong, damaged, or not adjusted at the factory.

All of those options are bad and I would be looking at CPP to fix it.

I feel I should have them take the box off the truck. That is a
pain in the butt on your back . Plus pulling the pitman arm.
I hope they have a good reason for not getting back with me.
the unit was backordered a long time. I did not get it until Jan.
Powermaster and CPP are both USA companies.
