Here are a few more pictures of the old girl in the rehabilitaion process. Now don't laugh at the dents, rust holes, brush marks and ripples. But I don't blame ya if you do... the work that everybody does on this site is quite amazing. Though I'm capable of doing that type of work myself I simply don't have the time and space right now to accomplish that sort of restoration. The premo body work will have to wait, but I'll be able to work it one section at a time and still be able to use the truck.

Mechanically she's pretty tight. Check out the Fentons and Dual Carbs. She should be on the road by the end of the week, if the windshield and rubber arrives. So I'll have a few more pictures and maybe a more complete list of the works that been done. Until then, thanks for all the responses and inspiration.

Pauly.

Nice pics. Did you put a new rubber floor mat in yours? If so where did you get it and did you have to do much fooling around to get it to fit correctly?

Super55, the floor mat is new and I got from The Filling Station in Lebanon, OR 1-541-258-2114. It didn't take much to get it to fit...the mat had marks for the gear shift, etc. so I had to cut those out. If you had the old one it might be easier to use that as a pattern. Other than that it fits pretty nice.

Hi John. The tires pictured (front axle) are "CEAT" 8.25 x 20. My dad was helping a local farmer clean out his barn and they found 4 matching 8.25 x 20 Goodyears (about 85%) that they gave me for the rears. Sweet find.

Pauley, I have not seen that type of dual carbs before. Do you have anymore info on them? Anyone else seen this setup before?

Hi obsa. The dual carb is a home built setup I put together. I originally wanted to put on a 2 x 1 intake, but it looked like the back carb would be in the way of the fender support rod. The little "adapter box" bolts onto the stock intake manifold and then the two carbs on top of that. I also built another adapter to mount two oil bath air cleaners on top of that. Things got a little tall, the hood won't close, so I'm on the search for two smaller matching air cleaners. The linkage that runs the main carb is close to stock, just longer. The second carb is pushed opened by the cam type linkage when the main carb is opened. This linkage didn't end up as progressive as I wanted, but the're both WOT at the same time. grin
