I bought some new door seals for my ‘56 and put them on and the door will not shut completely. The seals are from Metro soft seal which usually has a good product. Fortunately I have two other task force trucks with the original door seals. I compared the old vs repo and the cross section is different. My question does anyone know of a supplier who has the correct seals.

lcfman,

From lots of reading in the forums, the vast majority of folks have indicated that "Steele Rubber Products" are usually the best and most accurate for most our of trucks. AD era door products are still a contested subject, but that doesn't apply in your case. wink

Here is their link to the Task Force Door Seals.

Their page provide a cross section view with measurements to help you confirm there product matches your original TF seals.

The Metro Soft Seal page for your application doesn't give a cross section view or measurement of the thickness. The picture does appear to be thicker than the Steele product, so could be there is a product issue???

Hope this is helpful??? thumbs_up

Dan
