A member here suffered a problem with the condenser...the capacitor separated from the brass piece (which should not happen). From this point forward a copper band (with its own specially applied adhesive) will be wrapped around the condenser and soldered in place to prevent this. A little more expense but this project wasn't done with profit in mind and I don't want anyone to have problems. Image attached and replacement on the way to the member. If questions, please let me know.

For us that got some from you is this a fix we can do our selves? Maybe just send us the band?

Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.

Sure, just let me know if you need one. It is a copper band with adhesive applied to the back of it. You simply remove the backing paper from the adhesive, wrap the band around the capacitor and solder at the end. Ideally it should fit under the wire that is grounded, although it may not. Just let me know.

What's the best way to get one of your capacitors?

Somewhere there is a sticky post about that but the easiest way is to send an email to me at [email protected].

There is a sticky post at the top of this forum... but definitely take the business to private comms.

Another quality post.

there are a couple up there. I'll combine this one with the "important new" thread eventually.
