Actually it came from my ‘53 before our front oak tree came down in spring of many years ago, crushing the truck.

Anyhoo, I forgot about the textured finish it had. Was this finish a deliberate one? I assume it would be too difficult to remove?

Interesting. I'd be inclined to think someone sprayed it with trunk spatter paint or Linex type material.

Yeah, the entire wheel is evenly covered with this stuff. Ok if one really felt they needed such a grip. Think I might keep it as a spare and continue to restore my other one. I really prefer a smooth feel……..to da wheel 😎
