I was wanting to know the bolt pattern of a 1946 Chevy 1/2 ton truck. What years will fit the 46? I am looking for rims. The ones we have are rusted around the bead. Thanks

Here is a screen shot of the original 1946 wheel specs from the GM Heritage site 1946 Truck Data.

I know this doesn't fully answer what will fit, just what was there originally.

I am sure others will jump in here soon and try and add some more info or replies to help answer your question.

Thanks for the info Dan. It came with 15's on it but I have one that will not hold air.

The rims for the 46 would be the same for the AD Series. 6 lug 5 1/2 spacing. I am not familiar enough with model years prior to 41. Whether you have 15” or 16” rims the following specifications should apply:

Tire size and ply rating
6.0-16-6
Rim size
16 x 4-1/2
Offset
9/16
Attachment
7/16-20 bolts, 5-1/2 bolt circle

I assume the offset and back spacing are the same seeing that hubs interchange.

Thanks Tom for the information. I was told by a friend that farmers would put 15's on the truck because they wanted more rubber where city trucks had 16's with less rubber. How true that is hard telling. We have an old farm truck from Kansas
