I have a 48 1.5 ton with dump bed. It has a Chelsea pto on it. Looking for info about the seal. Has anyone replaced their Pto shift lever seal? the seal currently in the truck is a cr207. Is there a cross reference for it. Can it be bought from the common auto parts stores? Thanks

cr is likely Chicago Rawhide. They started making seals when seals were mostly made from leather. Here is one on ePay for around $10 including shipping.

'57 GMC 102, Original 347 V8, HydraMatic, 3.08 rear gear, added A/C, disk front brakes, HEI, AFB carb, '98 Honda Black Currant paint. T-boned and totaled 10/12

Seal cross referencing is easy now with the internet. You can also do it by measurement and lip type. I have an old CR Master Interchange book with old Napco, Gm, etc. numbers if anyone ever needs to look one up.

The Timken seal interchange manual shows that a Timken/National 5890 crosses with the C-R 207 seal. Here is another page that appears to confirm:

C-R 207
