Anyone know the correct part number for the two tie rod ends (one right and one left) for the 48-59 2 Ton Chevy Trucks (I have a 1950 Chevy COE)
Thanks in advance

Marty,

Based on Mike B's original GM#s above, here are some OER Part #'s that you can use to try and track down the best prices and availability:

For GM# 609747:

TRW ES142L (also see 462.ES142L)
Spicer SP692019
Dayton 310-110
UPS5203047
NCP2692019 (Napa)

For GM# 609748:

TRW ES142R (also see 462.ES142R)
Spicer SP692020
Dayton 310-111
UPS5203526
NCP2692020 (Napa)

One other "buyer beware" note. I saw at least 1 eBay ad that showed up while searching for "609747", but when I looked at more detail part ID info it said it was actually an ES142R (R substituted for L so misidentified).

Searching the various numbers, I found prices ranging from as low as $18 (eBay misidentified part) to a high of $92.99 (Napa - for either side).

They are out there.

Good hunting!

Dan

Thanks guys!
This is good information for future reference for others.
Indeed using the part numbers and cross referencing, I scored a pair from the same seller on Ebay.

What a great community resource we have here!
