Has anyone on here ever made their own flatbed or stakebed 100% out of wood? I do not have the facilities to weld up a steel frame nor the funds to purchase a $4k new (2k used) flatbed for my 3800. I have found a few images on the web but just curious if anyone has done it here. I saw the Tech Tip on building a flatbed and was going to mimic something similar to that, just using wood.

You might do a Youtube search . Lots of folks have done videos, some good, some not so good, building wood flat beds.
You might find some inspiration there.
