Well... it's officially official. Got a state inspection today. Flying Colors.

Looks like sunny and 50's next weekend. Perfect driving weather for her first hundred mile trip! Hope it holds... Driving down Carolina way to watch the sweet 16 with a bunch of beer-drinking buds. Do it every year. Case of beer, bottle of 'shine and a hundred bucks to lose in the pool. It don't get no better'n that!

ps... after all that work getting those wipers afloppin', he didn't bother checking them.

Same thing with two people I know in Texas. My brother spent all kinds of time and money on new wiper arms, blades, etc for his GTO. Re-wired his horn.

Inspector never bothered to try either one.

Another Texas buddy took his 1970 Coupe de Ville for inspection. The guy says,"nece car. Wanna sell it?" Filled out the paperwork and sent him on his way. Didn't even get in the car to check anything.

These so-called safety inspections in various states are a ripoff joke.

Looks like that inspector didn't look very hard at your rear window. He gave you an OK on "Other Glass" even though there's a visible spiderweb crack in the back window. ohwell

He just wanted his $20. nono

Had to get a "brake & lamp" inspection for my 59 here in California. Any vehicle with a salvaged title needs that, a appointment with the highway patrol (to verify it no stolen parts were used) & the weigh scales (they won't go by the manufactures #'s.... $20 more...) All for $150 , I worked my butt off to get everything right & I barely got a cup of coffee next door & got the call "your all done, it passed".

What a rip off headscratch

They could always find reasons to nit-pick an old truck to death so I just consider myself lucky in those situations. Just grab the required documentation and get the heck outta there ASAP.

Yep, as the old saying goes, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

Congrats, Jethro! Keep an eye on the ODSS Forum -- love to have you join us at our Spring event ... once we figure it out.

or maybe he was mesmerized by those old fishing rods and reels...in the foreground. Nice look Jethro, and if you come across a stream in your travels, all you need is some worms! I would love to see more pics of your rig!
