On my ‘55.2 putting master cylinder on firewall, removal of factory instrument panel brace was required. Found this pedal brace kit from CPP that allows proper mounting of master on firewall plus proper panel brace. Can be taken apart and reconfigured to move brake pedal around, which I was able to do since I wanted to mount brake pedal on left side on steering column, right side too narrow with 6bt.

What master cylinder are you using? Are you adding a booster?

The brake linkage not being centered in the bolt pattern for the brace has me confused. I am familiar with the boosters having 4 bolts with the linkage centered in them or the manual MC having 2 bolts.

I ordered the CPP mount for my firewall MC as well. I think the 55.2-59 mount is the same.

Any advice or gotchas from the installation?

I am using a GM hydro boost assembly for master, etc. Pedal, pushrod, etc. is centered on 4 metric(10 mm bolts) holding master to the firewall. Pedal, hinge, etc, mover to left side of CPP assembly. Is that what you questioned?

That is what I was asking. From your picture it looked like the pushrod was mounted above the center of the bolt pattern. My mistake.

It is mounted above the center, that is a fixed dimension!
