This heater was installed in my '46 1/2 ton, but I can't confirm that it was original (research indicates that heaters were dealer installed options). All that I do know is that the little badge between the (missing) front panels says "Hadees V8". I have googled that name with zero results. I presume it is a 6-volt fan motor. Also question why there are 4 pipes on the core instead of the usual 2.
Would appreciate any help to identify this guy. I plan to have it rebuilt to maintain some originality, but the missing front panels may be difficult.

You are correct in that all heaters were dealer installed, but that is not a heater that would have been "original" to your 1946.
I had a picture of the one from my '46 but cannot find it right now.
That heater was intended for a F*** flathead V8. Those had a split cooling system with 2 water pumps.

Thank you Wheelie - explains why google searches always came back with references to F***, the 4 pipes (two of which had been capped off), and the V8 badge. Knowing all this now, it seems most likely that an "original" heater would have been a Harrison. The search continues.
Thanks mucho for this valuable info.

Rick

I’m not sure but looks like an Arvin heater missing face plate.
