Pre 68 Dave Those look to be pretty good paper,some were on almost tissue paper. Good find to put on your wall,probably still apply too. I just noticed that tool on page 2 there,that is to put in steel spacers on worn ring grooves. Done that for real in 73 still have the tool if we could find the spacers. They look like an oil rail for a modern oil ring. That really worked good,have to lap your tool bit every groove to get aluminim build-up off. Anyone know of any spacers in oversizes any where in captivity,not hard to make tool bits for all sizes,just need the spacers. ???
Yep, I've read that same sheet many times. It's only got a few mistakes that will wreck a new engine, particularly how to clean a honed cylinder! Soapy boiling water, scrubbing with a stiff bristle brush, and repeated rinses with boiling water and/or a pressure washer is the only way to go. Jerry
