I would like to start using a signature (Stewart2) but have the "2" as Stewartsquared. Is there any way I can do that on this forum? FYI, I would need layman's term key strokes as it took 6 mos. to learn what "IT Short Bus" meant. So, please be kind to me.

In some programming languages, exponents is two asterisks. So, Stewart squared would be Stewart**2. Or, the hat symbol is used in other languages, so Stewart^2. Either of those work?

Stewart,

Glad to see you in here! You'll be glad you came back. Big plans for that old truck of yours.

Are you asking if the forum software supports superscript? Perhaps Stewart2

Seems like something more people could be interested in. If you look in my editor picture below, I used the html tag to indicate superscript (yellow circle).

To get the forum to display that properly, you have to enable HTML interpretation via the green circled dropdown menu.

If you are also using quotes or the quick buttons above the post entry window, you would need to select the "HTML and UBB code" option.

Fibonachu,

We have a winner. Took a few tries and Stewart Stewart just happened to come by so we could try that. I just didn't have the bandwidth to get very far. (Distracted with dinner prep.)

Thanks for taking the time to figure that out. Stewart has already left and he was content with Stewart-squared with italics. He'll be pleased when he gets home.

smile
