I am new to the site and have been looking at many posts. This is my first one.
I am working on a 1952 3100. I have installed a 76 Firebird front clip and Chevy 350 motor in the truck. The rear end is out of a early Chevy Chevelle and the the rear springs with springs from a Ford Explorer.
I had to do some metal work to the 5 window cab, cab corners, floorboards and firewall, rear cab inner and outer corners and front inner and outer cowls, along with all the pounding to get out all the years of dents.
I also replaced the bed sides. I utilized the existing tops of the sides (from the bread in the flat portion down, by cutting the sides off and welding to the existing top portion).
Am now fitting all the other body parts to the frame to insure fit prior to removing and having them sandblasted prior to body work. Am looking for ideas on a replacement tank positioned under the bed with a side fill. Any ideas and info would be greatly appreciated.
The frame splice picture is of my brother sketching out some of the supporting gussets we added to the splice and a picture of the frontend parts being placed so that I could make sure of the right radiator core support location.
I now have the bed in place and want to fit a tank prior to taking all the fenders and hood to get sand blasted prior to body work.

Welcome to the Stovebolt Forums We're glad to have you here.
Looks like you've mastered posting pics, and are well into your project.
The Paint and Body Shop forum would be the spot for any questions you might have on your sheet metal work.
