I just bought a '41 AK w/216 stock engine . I believe it has a tungsten coil. I can't find much info about them. Are they a GM accessory, stock, or aftermarket? Are they a benefit or a problem? They truck is a stock 6 volt truck.
What you have is called an "electrolock ignition coil".
They were standard production items for most Chevy cars and truck from 1929-46.
