When taking the doghouse off so you can get better access to the engine on a 2 Ton COE do I need to know anything special about the tranny linkage?

Thanks!

Hey Chevman,
I don't think there is too much knowledge on this sight about the Art Deco Coes...we're kinda on our own. As far as what to know, I haven't been there yet myself but just put it back like it comes apart! smile

Tomcoe,
Thanks for the good words of encouragement. I did get to it yesterday and it was pretty straight forward. Got the four bolts off at the base of the gear-shifter and the two large pan-head screws on the rear corners and it came off to give better access to the engine.

I had put 4 to 5 oz. of tranny fluid in each cylinder a few weeks ago. I went to suck it back out so I could put Kroil oil in and found 4 of the 6 cylinders empty. But two of them had all the tranny fluid in them yet (these must be the stuck ones frown ). So I put 2 to 3 oz. of Kroil in each one and I'll let that sit for a while. Got the valve cover off and saw no rust. Every thing looked pretty good, oiled it all up with an oil can anyway.

Now I guess it is just waiting....

I am working on installing an electric heater in my garage at home. I have an LP space heater that I was using last winter. I had many problems with trying to do sandblasting because of the high humidity caused by this type of heater. So hopefully things will go much better this winter. The cold is one of those draw backs about living in Iowa.

Thanks!
Chevman
