Well, I finally got to PA to pick up my dads old farm truck. My dad bought it new from the dealer. I have the bill of sale and all the receipts from when he bought it. I picked up an exact model in KS earlier this summer for body parts. My dads old truck has been sitting in the field rusting for the past 20 years. I had to beat the heck out of the rear brake drum to get it to turn. Thanks to the advice from all you bolters I got the wheels to turn.

I gave it a little tune up and drained the oil. I started it up and drove it down to the old farm house. Now I need to pull the head and get it worked, has a stuck #6 exhaust valve. At least it is in my back yard in Colorado where I can get to it and work on it. Here is a link to some pictures. The rusty green one was my dads. The red one is the parts truck from KS.

I am sure I will need more advice once I get started. Heck, could probably use a little advice on where to start. I will post some more pictures of it in my backyard later.

I always did like the Task Force models. Keep us informed about your progress.

I noticed that there is a knob on the ash tray. I'll have to look at my truck to see if it ever had one.. I don't think so. I was looking at the wooden flat bed. It would cost me very little to build one out of wood. Thank you for sharing pictures of your truck !!

I think you the knob you are seeing is actually the heater knob. At least it says Off - Heat on the knob, next to the glove box. The ash tray does not have a knob. The ash tray is close to the driver.
