Wanted to introduce myself to the forums and thank you all for the ad.

Just yesterday, purchased a 59' Apache from auction and it will be coming home to my shop this week.

A bit about me:
Retired auto shop owner/technician - Land Rover emphasis
Always loved cars, used to scout junk yards as a kid with my dad
New to the classic truck world and eager to learn!

Shout out to those who have helped me so far on my purchase.

Rovertech had a great discussion going on in General Truck as he was contemplating the auction for the '59. Was fun to watch the exchange.

Glad to see you post here -- getting to know you a little better.

Welcome to the Stovebolt Community Rovertech! wave

I looked through the link you posted in General Truck Talk (GTT) of your soon to be delivered truck find. Looks outstanding and you have a good starting place for your project. thumbs_up

As you said, you already have shop and truck related skills to begin wrench turning on your new classic truck. You will transition into our madness just fine. grin

There are a huge group of Task Force trucks lovers here and members who have incredible knowledge and experiences to share to boot. thumbs_up

Anytime you get stumped, or just have a question that your not sure of, ask away! We are here to help! shake

BTW - If you are looking for some inspiration for your project, take a look in The Task Force Galleries

Looking forward to your future posts and pictures (lots and lots off pictures please). grin

And if the trucks in the Forum Gallery is not enough, here's a whole lot more in the static Gallery. Makes for inspiring reading.
