Does anyone have experience with replacement parts for the factory column turn signal switches? I am not referring to the electric portion, I am looking for the mechanicals. It seems that there is so much play in the assembly that it is difficult to tell if you have the lever engaged, or not. I have completely disassembled it, cleaned, and lubricated everything. But it just "feels" worn out. Anyone?

DBJ,

A quick search online reveals a number the usual suspects (vendors) that carry complete reproduction replacement units.

Here are three (I have no connection to any of these and can't vouch for the quality of the products, but perhaps others that have used them can add their comments):

55 turn signal

55 turn signal

55 turn signal (Item 5)

Hope this helps you out to resolve your worn out switch mechanism issue. thumbs_up

Thanks for your time and info! After more searching I found these (1 year) columns are shared with the 1953-1962 Corvettes. So after I started checking those cars I discovered a video on YouTube of a complete disassembly and how to rebuild without any new parts. It seems to work great now. Thank you again.
