Hey everyone,
Back in 2013, I bought a 1955 Chevy truck project, which is all done now. But I did a 4wd conversion using the SM420 and divorced Rockwell T221 from a 1964 K20 to make it look like a NAPCO conversion. Anyways, I started finding more and more pieces for that truck.
This is what I started with (picture 1). The rear half of the frame was completely gone.
But in 2014, I found anther frame (picture 2) with a 292 in it that was also from a K20. My plan was to eventually put the truck together again, but it never happened because the cab was so shot.
I also found 1.5 fleetside beds too for the truck (picture 3).
Well, luckily, I found another good cab (picture 4), a few weeks ago, so this lit a fire for me to get the truck together.
My half a truck had a 283 in it originally, so I pulled the engine mounts out of it and riveted them into the good frame (picture 5).
And dropped the engine in that I had bought with the new cab (picture 6).
And now after a week of messing with it, its all together and driving (picture 7). Now it needs a proper restoration, but that will be a long ways away! I'll get some better pics of it tomorrow in the daylight (pictures 8).
Edit by Phak1 August 2023: The next images in the daylight are HERE below this thread. Don't want to think these 8 are the end of it.
