I was wire wheeling the bottom of my cab and the wheel caught on a lip and flew out of my hands and landed on the cement floor from about 4 feet high. It broke in two on impact, just below above the handle. I took it apart and I could see why it broke into two. It's a similar model to the attached picture, and it broke internally about where the black handle section attaches to the green body. Inside there is piece where the switch body slides into, formed like a "C" channel. The walls of that channel are 1/8" thick at the most. And that's where it snapped. No wonder it broke so easy. Anyhow I took my old soldering iron and "welded" the plastic piece back on, and re-assembled it. Just for insurance I wrapped the two main secitons of the grinder on the outside with flex tape. It's a pretty low priced grinder so I wouldn't have been crushed if I couldn't repair it, but it sure does have a weak spot in the design. I'm surprised it hadn't broken well before this. I must have had it for 10 years. Not as nice as my Mikitas.
