Give them a call .A drag racer, Jim Hendrick, drag racing a 3500 lb car, took several National titles running low 10's with a naturally aspirated 292 Chevy on gasoline.He had to have 500 hp at least.I don't know what to make of those claims, but must be some truth to it.

BTW, why is a 235 limited to about 200 hp? Is it the RPM range, the head design, frictional losses, compression, or what?
What is the practical limit on a street 261?

It's easy to get 200 hp with full race cam, dual two bbls or 3 ones, ported, polished & shaved head and either HEI, dual point or unilite. This is a streetable engine, too.
200 hp out of a 235 is pushing it. Yeah, the head is a problem along with rpm and crank balance. A cross flow head is the only way to really light either one of these up.
