Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a double pulley available for a 1955 235 engine?
I am working on installing power steering.
I have seen some aftermarket pulleys available but not sure if I have to replace the whole damper plate like the ones from damper dudes, or can use one of the pulleys from a place like cpp. Perhaps someone knows if there were other 235 engines that used a double pulley but would still fit the 55 engine?
Thanks in advance,
Judson

Use a double sheave damper for a 250 six. It requires a little machining of the snout to make the grooves line up with the water pump and generator/alternator pulleys (shorten the snout 1/4" and move the seal surface OD back the same distance). any machinist worthy of the name can do the modification in a few minutes.
