According to this Russet Brown was a 1 year only (1955) color. If you click on the "G" at the left of the line for that color, you'll see some examples (not that many as it's apparently a pretty rare color.) I bought a grille from a guy that had a 48 Kodiak Brown parts truck. It wasn't that good looking (to follow Otto's comment.)

Its a red mess right now, but I'm finding dark green like maybe it was that. I don't think the SN on 55 is tied to any paint code? If it was green I like that way better than red. On 55's it all most looks like it was close to the bumper color in the cab?? I'd rather either have what 57's had or it looks like the heavy larger trucks had more of a gray color? Always thought the top of dash was a charcoal gray but the 55 engineering pamphlet mentions black? Gosh I miss having the perfect original 58 for colors etc. and yeah 58's used more of a dark gray for floor etc. I suppose good old factory stock me will have to change my ways when it comes to a 55.2 interior color.
Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks. Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.
