Would love to here form anyone that has replaced the front lower section,upper wheel arch and rear lower section. Any tips that may help or any problems you ran into.

The sheetmetal is a perfect match for a ‘59-‘66 fleetside bed. You can buy the bedsides new.

Have you actually repaired the lower sheet metal on a 55.2-59 suburban or panel? If so what did you actually use?

Yes I have. I used a NOS patch panel for a 60-66 Fleetside to repair my 55 Suburban. It wasn’t completely rotted out, but my truck needed several pieces of the patch panel. I can’t speak to the differences between a NOS and a new panel, but mine was a perfect fit.

Here are a few pics of the left side patch panels for the 60 to 66 fleetside. You can see that their not going to be an exact fit. The inner panel is alot different then the original inner panel. I plan on cutting and using the rear patch. Like Napco Man said it going to depend on how much has to be replaced and where. I'm going to have to Fab some of my repair areas. Will post some pics.

That’s a completely different panel than the one I used. Mine was almost the entire side and included the wheel well. Good luck on your project.

THIS ONE. Key there is almost. Long forward and short to the rear. Wheel wells match outside.
