I'm a beginner welder. My question is: when do you call the job complete? Attached is a cab corner bottom I did today. I free-lanced on the "trimwork". So do I need to put weld in every pinhole and pock mark, or do you just get it good and solid and then rely on paint and filler? I always try to fill in every little crack and hole but not sure that is necessary.
The problem with leaving any openings is the possibility of water, dirt, and especially salt getting into places it can't drain. Then the rust gremlins get busy! Don't count on body filler making those places leakproof. Jerry
