We had a fun week, on the go somewhere every day Sunday to yesterday, except Monday. ☹ï¸But we didn’t win the 69 Camaro that was raffled off for Make A Wish foundation. Oh well maybe next year. Nor did we win one of the 30+ $500.00 prizes to registered vehicles. Still a lot of fun and met a bunch of friendly people from all over and saw a lot of nice vehicles.
For a while I will post to my Flickr pictures all the ones I took there If you want to browse in one place. Flickr
Beside the Cruisin' images, you have a neat collection of images in there from your restoration it seems.
Just to let people know, if you only used the arrow keys to see all the photos, you'll get what looks like a blank black screen (see image below). It's a placeholder for an Ad. Sometimes a few screens. Keeping scrolling.
If you look at the thumbnails at the bottom of the Flickr screen, you will see "AD" in the line-up. I just moved from there.
Great photos!

For those that browsed thru here the last few weeks, I figured I would repost the link one more time to Cruising the Coast web site. You can see dates, lodging and much more. If you enjoy cruise in’s or car shows (there are a lot of trucks mixed in) this will surprise you. This has been going on for 26 years now and is very big.
Thanks for posting this "Hot Wash" so to speak. We'll have to get a heads up for next year. Maybe have something we can do as a group some time before / during / after this entire week.
What's next??!!

Ok y’all, here is another good video from Biloxi. This one appears to have quite a few trucks in there. Also if anyone that might be interested in coming next year and have specific questions about the NUMBER 1 car show in the US, PM me or reply here so others that might have the same questions. Depending which city on the Gulf Coast you are staying in I can hopefully point you in the right direction. The schedule I posted earlier is good but kind of intimidating because it seems so large but plenty to do from Sunday to Sunday. Music at certain times at most venues, Car corral where you can centrally put you truck for sale if you want or buy another one. Ha ha Swap meets on the last Saturday at the Coast coliseum with truck parts and plenty other non cruiser related vendors. Monday cruisers start picking up registration packets. You could easily hang out there and see hundred if not thousands of vehicles from your lawn chair.
Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday would be an excellent day if a group of Stovebolters wanted to meet up during this time??
Yep, better than I could take. Ha ha. I found some videos that were like an hour long but I think that’s too long. I get bored after a few minutes. I want to keep them short. Spectators were just sitting in their chairs at the different locations taking pictures or video of everything going by. My wife found 4 or 5 pictures of my truck on different sites and my nephew sent me a picture and said” is this you” it was posted somewhere else.
You have some good videos here. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many trucks in the line-up. The registration is a great place to take the photos. I paused the video and just jumped from vehicle to vehicle that way I could look at the ones of interest longer. That first truck was worth a "save screen" !!
Thanks for keeping these going!

Yep, there really are some good videos. You see all the people sitting around the road just 👀 . I only found a couple more but am reluctant to post some really long ones (over an hour). What you think?

Yea, if I had to guess on the percentages of trucks to cars I would say maybe 35% trucks.
For you horsepower guys and gals here is a short video of a 1953 3100 doing a burnout at the burnout contest they have every year in Pass Christian Ms on Thursday afternoons during Cruisin.
Most of the videos I have found now are becoming longer. So…….. you may have to pause and or mute some of the funky music styles attached 😂😂. Your choice🤔 still a lot of good looking stovebolts!!
A nice video in Biloxi in front of the Hard Rock Casino with a couple of guys from Houston with a 68 and 69 Corvettes. Several good looking trucks passing by on the hwy. The first 5 minutes are ok the she focused on a couple of hot rods too much.
This Is a good video showing a lot of vehicles passing by (no talking)but shows good video of the beach in Gulfport. Notice the breeze sounds as they moved around.
This is a better video from Biloxi beach. 🛻🛻🛻🛻🛻For those who may not know while a video is playing you can go to the setting Icon on the right side and change the “playback speed” from normal to 1 1/2 speed.
One thing I did not mention about this even with the 9600+ vehicles that some people bring their classics but don’t actually register for the event. That also why you see so many cars and 🛻 moving around the roads all the time. They can still go into any of the venues, watch the live bands, burnout contest, flamethrowing etc but just can’t bring their vehicle into designated Cruisin spaces. Her is another good video from Bay St Louis.
With all this Mardi Gras feeling, we brought out some of our masks and beads that had been in a storage box (from NOLA Mardi Gras a long while ago). Decided to put a few of them on the wall.
Thanks again for the videos.

Ah, Mardi Gras ðŸŽyou just have to experience it at least once in a lifetime. One big party. I was born in NO and lived there till about the 6th grade and the smaller marching band parades would just about come thru our neighbor hood. We lived kind of downtown.
Here is a long video in Long Beach of the parade that ended at the small harbor there. A bunch of good looking classics and beautiful sunset video to since it was on the water
