Anyone know of a rebuild kit for this transfer case. Someone in a post mentioned a ford kit that was 99% the same parts gears and all, but didn't say the model # , part# or year.

GM used the Spicer 23, Ford used Spicer 24. Output shaft on opposite side. Torque King has parts. I think all the parts are the same.Jim Carter used to have these kits, I think I got one from them. Might want to call them. You can get bearing and seal numbers right off the parts.

Oh, and the NAPCO seal numbers still cross over the CR Industries, which is now something else. All the seal companies are pretty much consolidated.

CR is Chicago Rawhide, an old time seal manufacturer, and still exists as a subsidiary of SKF.

Donsz, thanks for the parts#. Is there a rebuild shop manual for this transfer case and do you know if the Dana 24 gears and shafts are inter changeable with the 23.

1. Got my Dana 24 rebuild kit from: https://cobratransmission.com/dana-24-bearing-kit-55050001-1 (at the time i was $67) My part number on the invoice is CT-BK24. The one on the url, is BK24-001, but looks the same. Note you need the seals as well as the bearings, the kit has them (I think the kit is cheaper than if you buy everything separate.

note: I see I have an invoice for one MRC 207M-00009 Bearing I purchase separately: I'm not sure why I bought it anymore, so check to see that it is in the Dana kit

3. I don't know about the shafts (I bought two extra transfer cases for spares, just in case)
4. Attached is a PDF of the manual I used for rebuild (looks complicated, but was fairly straightforward). I have a number of NAPCO manuals I got from the old NAPCO site (now on Facebook) and I think they come up on eBay periodically. I hope you can read what I have attached (use magnify if needed).
